Incarnate Word Parish, Chesterfield

Incarnate Word helps job seekers prepare and execute their search through career networking. We assist the unemployed and under-employed to direct their energy toward connecting with industry specific contacts who can introduce them to relevant hiring authorities. Throughout the process, reliance upon God for direction and strength is emphasized.

We offer a specific formula for job seekers:

- Assess interests, skills and possibilities
- Develop a marketing plan
- Target hiring authorities
- Make phone contact
- Schedule meetings with hiring authorities
- Follow up

A key component is working your job search like a job, at your desk at 8am and working till 5pm. We recommend making your job search your full-time position.

For the "under-employed" it is a similar, adjusted, yet even more challenging approach.

Volunteers, or "Mentors", assist active job seekers and the under-employed in realizing their career goals. You do not have to be an executive or even a manager to benefit or to help others. Whether you work in accounting, sales or IT, there are a number of ways to make a real difference while making valuable business contacts and learning essential new skills.

Meetings are conducted on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month in the Lower Church Hall (Watson Room) at Incarnate Word Church, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

Everyone is welcome and please consider bringing a business associate.
