For those who are serious about their search, who are willing to make it a full-time job and want to make the most productive use of their time, one-on-one job search coaching is available. Several volunteers at CEN member parish job search groups have developed simple techniques that work very well to help keep you focused, motivated and effective.
You make a commitment to meet with your volunteer coach each week for 20 to 45 minutes. You will be expected to bring a written plan for the upcoming week and report on the results you accomplished from the previous week.
Why would you subject yourself to such a rigorous routine? Well, we all know that professionals in sports hire personal trainers to help them with their physical conditioning. And many executives and rising executives hire career coaches to help hone their skills and develop their careers.
Why not take advantage of the help that someone might be willing to give you from their own busy schedules? If you deem the process to be unproductive, you can stop at any time - your coach can also. And remember, there is never a fee associated with anything CEN does.
The only obligation on your part will be to faithfully make a plan and work your plan each week and discuss ways to improve your production and effectiveness.
