Theres a country song Jesus Take the Wheel about a woman praying to God
to help her not have an accident but also to change her life around.
What would you do if Jesus suddenly sat down beside you - when you were
spending some time in thought and prayer - or in a busy atmosphere where there
was a lot going on.
Jesus sits down and says: I love you and want to take care of you. I will
grant you one wish you can have anything in the world. No strings attached.
Wow what would you do?
Think about this anything in the world you wanted. Write it down if you
want
Have you thought of what you wanted? Now think about the positive things
about it.
Now turn it around and think about the negatives?
So lets go back to your request remember what you wanted?
Could it be:
A good job something that was exciting using your skills or
taking you on another path?
Would you ask to be able to follow your dream?
How about a house?
Probably most would want wealth money so that they would never
have to worry about a job or providing for their families.
Maybe a few would ask for world peace that all would live together in
harmony.
Some would want a great relationship or a wonderful spouse or close
friends.
Those who are ill would want to be healthy again.
How about a lifetime of good health never having to worry about a
life-threatening situation
A way to ease world hunger so no one would have to go to bed hungry.
Good strong leaders who would live good lives, be honest and rule with
a positive and caring attitude.
Freedom from worry.
I know this is only the tip of the iceberg -- the list could
go on and on.
What would I ask from Jesus?
My wish would be that I would have absolute trust in Him - knowing that He
will guide me and take care of me. I would ask Jesus to help me turn over my
life to Him.
Because guess what if I have absolute trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior
no faltering no wavering I never have to worry again.
He knows what I need and want before I do. God has told us all that He will
take care of us.
That is my wish it is very hard to do to turn everything over to Him for
as Psalm 23 says: the Lord is my shepherd there is nothing I shall want.
Whenever I am tempted to try to tell God what I need and when I need it I
stop and remember that song that keeps going through my brain: Jesus take the
wheel.
Ask God - Trust God - Expect His Blessings
