Dear God, we have gathered here for help to learn what we are to do.

We are searching for a new job and need Your strength, guidance and direction. We need Your strength to help us find our strength to do the things we know to do. We need Your guidance to know where to focus our efforts. We need Your direction to find the job you want us to be in.

Lord, You said that whenever two or more are gathered in Your Name, You are here. Well, we are here gathered in Your Name and we want to learn more about what you want us to do. Help us to deal with our situation, to deal with our fears and to deal with our insecurities so that we can confidently pursue the job You want us to have. Help us to identify our strengths and skills and build upon them to find the best job for us. Help us to learn what else we can do to find job openings and prepare for interviews. Help us to learn to turn over to you the problems that we cannot handle. We believe that You have a job in mind for us - a job that maybe you want for us because it will help us to grow, or to develop, or to provide for our families or to somehow serve Your purpose.

Please be with us as we struggle to find your purpose.

God, our Father, we turn to you seeking your divine help and guidance as we look for suitable employment. We need your wisdom to guide our footsteps along the right path, and to lead us to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. We wish to use the gifts and talents you have given us, but we need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon us, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant us this favor we seek so that we may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
