Our Mission

The Catholic Employment Network (CEN) was formed in May 2002 by several parish job search ministry leaders.

Our Mission is to serve the St. Louis area community who need help during their job search transition by providing spiritual and practical job search support services . CEN conducts job search workshops throughout the year, addressing the critical topics of the job search: networking, interviewing, resume-writing, etc. Workshops are held are various parishes throughout St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County. Parish groups are very active and help job seekers in a variety of ways; many hold individual job support groups within their parish, providing support and encouragement, discuss effective job search techniques and advice for specific job search situations/problems. Some of the groups also provide spiritual support in their meetings. All of the parish chapters can help job seekers through one-on-one coaching.

Send in Job Leads
CEN continues to offer guidance and support to over 2000 members seeking employment in the St. Louis area. If you, or a business associate are aware of a job opportunity, email a brief description of the position along with a contact information to jobleads@catholicemploymentnetwork.org. We will “broadcast” the opening to our members; those interested will get in touch with the contact provided. Your name will not be mentioned unless you request the response be directed to you. All help you can provide is greatly appreciated. A small effort on your part can make a big impact on someone who continues to seek employment.

The CEN Launches New Website
The Catholic Employment Network is excited to launch our new web site that features dynamic content, spiritual guidance, job postings for employers and a new professional networking feature that allows CEN members to interact online. Best of all, the content from the original website has been retained as many members rely on it as a foundation to help them through the job search process.
